Nick Overpelt

Nick received his college nursing degree from Hogeschool Leiden in 2018, where he specialized in psychiatry. During his studies, he worked on a HIC ward, which shaped his interest in acute and intensive psychiatry. In 2021, he completed the Master of Nursing Sciences at Utrecht University. He then worked as a nurse and researcher for three years, and his interest in peer well-being grew.
Since January 2025, Nick has been conducting doctoral research at the PP&CC research group, focused on improving the training climate for nursing students. In doing so, he combines his passion for nursing, education, wellness and research.
