Ellen Ricke
Ellen Ricke is trained as a primary care physician, physical therapist and clinical epidemiologist. She has been conducting research on the well-being of healthcare professionals and patients with chronic conditions in various settings since 2014. In 2023, she received her PhD from the University of Groningen with the dissertation entitled “Towards understanding exercise adherence in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.” An important aspect of her research is the patient-therapist relationship.
As a researcher of the PP&CC research group, Ellen will contribute to the further development of the evaluation instruments and thus contribute to effective and efficient health care in which both health care professionals and patients feel seen and heard.
